 
We offer a full hand made, bespoke curtain makeup service from our own curtain workroom. Curtains are hand made and finished to order. Please call the Enquiry Line for advice on fabric requirements, suitability and to place an order. Repeats on fabric can vary from roll to roll and we would strongly advise speaking to the shop to confirm your measurements and the suitability of your fabric and heading choices. Measuring Service Our Curtain Workroom Manager will come to your home, offer advice and measure up and confirm your requirements. For addresses within 25 miles of the shop a charge of £30 is made (refundable against the make-up costs for the windows concerned). Beyond this distance there will be an additional charge of 40p per mile (non-refundable). Track & Pole Fitting Service If you require new tracks or poles our track and pole fitting service can be booked prior to curtain make up as it is essential to fit tracks or poles prior to curtains being made up in order to get the correct measurements. Please call the Enquiry Line for further details. For addresses within 25 miles of the shop, this service is offered at a rate of £22.50 per hour, per person. Beyond this distance there will be an additional charge of 40p per mile (non refundable). Curtain Hanging Service Our Curtain Workroom Manager will come to your house and hang your curtains once completed. Please call the Enquiry Line for further details. For addresses within 25 miles of the shop, this service is offered at a rate of £20 per hour, per person. Beyond this distance there will be an additional charge of 40p per mile. How to measure up This information is a guide only, and if you are at all unsure of your requirements we would advise you to contact the shop for guidance. Please see our Terms & Conditions and note that we cannot accept responsibility for incorrect orders taken from customers' own measurements. It is important to fit tracks and poles before measuring for curtains in order get the exact measurements. Calculating Fabric Quantity Take dimensions (metric) for curtain track or pole width and finished drop. Please see diagrams below.
Track width: 168 cm, curtain drop 127 cm, width of fabric 137 cm, pattern repeat 32 cm, pencil pleat. 2.25 x track width (168 cm) = 378 cm 378 cm divided by 137 cm (width of fabric) = 2.7 widths (rounded up to 3 widths) 127 cm drop + 25 cm allowance = 152 cm 152 cm divided by 32 cm (pattern repeat) = 4.75 (5 to next whole number) 5 x 32 cm (pattern repeat) = 160 cm (cut drop length) 160 x 3 drops = 480 cm (5 metres) Rounded up to nearest half a metre = 5 metres fabric required. 1. Track or Pole Width A. Track width Measure from one end of track to the other, OR 
B. Track with Overlap A + B= Total Width, OR 
C. Pole Width Measure from one end of pole to the other, but do not include finials 
2. Drop A number of factors affect the drop length such as track or pole, heading type, finished length, please complete any of the following that are relevant to your window FROM Track Measure from top of track to allow the track to be hidden, OR Pole Measure from underside of large pole ring (not small metal ring attached to pole ring) to allow pole to be seen, OR Pole with eyelet curtains measure from top of pole and add XXcm, OR Pole with tab head curtains please discuss with staff re pole diameter and pole height above window TO Sill exactly to sill Below Sill to desired length Floor remember to allow for floor coverings if not yet fitted Puddled to floor + amount of puddle required – please discuss with shop staff.
