We care about our world and are passionate about making our carbon footprint as small as possible.
Sustainability is at the heart of our company and affects the decisions we make daily, whether that’s working through our supply chain, offering more sustainable fabric choices or the way we use electricity throughout the business.
We believe taking care of the environment is everyone’s responsibility, so we’re committed to becoming more sustainable the more we grow.
Here’s what we’re doing:
We’re driven to find the best solution to ship your fabrics to you safely, with the lowest carbon footprint possible whilst also protecting your valuable purchases. Both the plastic that your fabric is wrapped in and any cardboard packaging used is 100% recyclable, we use unbranded clear plastic as this is the most widely acceptable plastic packing for recycling centres to process. Our aim is to make all our packaging 100% recyclable, we’re currently working to find a sustainable solution for our packaging tape as the standard paper options currently available don't work with our plastic fabric packaging unfortunately. We do however use a paper tape with all our cardboard/paper packaging.
We're dedicated to continually increasing our eco-friendly fabric collections. In addition, we also stock a selection of environmentally friendly homewares, including a collection of Weaver Green throws which are made from 100% recycled plastic bottles.
Waste and Recycling
At all of our Just Fabrics locations we recycle as much of our waste as possible. Any fabric scraps or remnants we can’t use are donated to schools, charities and community projects to be put to good use, ensuring it doesn’t end up in landfill.
We use a renewable energy supplier throughout the business who produces energy from renewable sources including solar, wind and hydro.
