Step 1
Firstly, cut out a piece of your main fabric that measures 24cm x your doors length. Using the tailors chalk, draw two circles using a glass as a template and cut these out of your other fabric ensuring your circles are 7cm in diameter.

Step 2
Next, with the right sides of the fabric facing, pin and sew along the long edge, making sure to leave a small gap at one end of the fabric so it can be pulled the right way around.

Step 3
With the right sides facing in, pin your circles to both ends of the draught excluder. Now sew along the pinned edges on both ends.

Step 4
Using the small gap which was left unsewn, turn the draught excluder right sides out and add roughly half of your rice or lentils into the small gap.

Step 5
Next, roll up your soft interlining filling and slide it through the gap. Afterwards, add the rest of the rice or lentils and shake your draught excluder to space them out.

Step 6
Once filled, pin and hand sew the small gap closed with a matching-coloured thread to seal the draught excluder.
Your draught excluder is now complete and is ready to help create a warm, cosy home. This is a great handmade decoration which will look great in many rooms of a home such as a living room or bedroom.
