Sustainable Fabrics Needed

Sustainable Fabrics Needed

The fast fashion industry, even in home textiles, is creating a serious environmental crisis. Natural resources are scarce and waste generation levels are increasing. We generate tons of fabrics that end up in landfill, turning into slowly decomposing textile waste. Recycled fabrics and organic cottons are a way that we can reduce the environmental impact of fabric consumption and production.

Recycled Fabrics - Plastic

Recycled Fabrics - Plastic

More than 8 million tons of plastic are dumped in our oceans every year. Millions of whales, turtles, fish and other species are affected by plastic marine debris. Recent studies indicate that at least 19 million kilos of plastic has accumulated and is floating in our oceans.* Ocean currents have formed five gigantic, slow moving whirlpools where the plastic collects.

Polyester Yarn is made with used plastic bottles which are ready to be recycled, they are cut, chopped, and melted, then formed into flakes. 100% Recycled Yarn is obtained from these flakes to make recycled fabrics. JF Recycled Fabric is made from recycled polyester yarns and recycled cotton yarns.
